Fall Fun

8 months

Brooke is actually closer to 9 months, but hey, better late than never, right?  She continues to be an amazing, sweet baby that brings us so much joy!!  She just had a double ear infection this last weekend, but was such a good sport!  A very drippy nose but had I not taken her in to the dr, I never would have known...she hardly fussed at all!!  What a dream!  She is drinking anywhere between 18-26 ounces or so and can hold her own bottle.  She really doesn't want the paci anymore, much preferring her thumb.  She can completely go from all fours to sitting up and can easily sit up in her crib and wait for me to get her.  She is kind of reaching for me to pick her up.  She eats three good solid meals a day.  She has had some stage 3 jars and some meats and yogurt but has started some finger foods...cheerios are her favorite!!!!  She has two little pearly whites on her bottom.  She doesn't really crawl, but can roll or "lunge crawl" and is pretty efficient in getting what she, wants...which is usually the remote or package of baby wipes or someone's hair!!  Man, does she pull hard!!  She gets about half way to pulling up before giving up.  She loves outlets and cords are even more fun...better start that babyproofing soon!!  I continue to be in awe of her...how lucky I am!

Jordan has hung up her ballet shoes for the fall in place of some cleats and Daddy is the coach!  She had her first game this weekend..HILARIOUS!  She took more juice breaks than anything and even had a teary meltdown in there, but it was so fun to watch my girl on the field.  My first official day as a soccer mom...just missing that mini van!  Brooke was there to cheer on her big sister!

What We are Up To...

These girls are growing up way too darn fast!  Here is a little snapshot of what they are doing now...

Brooke at 7 months:
Has one adorable little tooth on the bottom
Loves to bite on her spoon when you feed her
Eats three good solid meals a day of fruit, veggie, or cereal...adores the sweet stuff, not so fond of the greens (peas, beans, spinach, or broccoli)
Has a smile that lights up the world
Had her first little ear infection before school started ...so sad
Sleeps ok..sometimes thru the night, sometimes not
Takes two good naps a day
Reaches for EVERYTHING...EVERYTHING in the mouth...be careful
Sits forward facing in her stroller
Sorta eats puffs
Talks up a storm...baba, lala, gaga, mama, dada
Adores her big sister
Gets up on all fours and rocks like crazy...no crawling
Cries when you take a toy away
Can stand holding on to something
Has discovered her cute little thumb
Is a snuggle bunny
Goes to bed and falls asleep on her own...

Jordan at three years:

Started school August 13 and knows the s, a, and t sound
Knows the weather and months of the year..thanks Goddard
Has a best friend at schcool..."Celina"
Is sassy and feisty
Has definitely given up naps...both at home and at school
Loves princesses and barbies
Only wears dresses
Dances and does gymnastics all the time...wait until you have seen those moves
Has a bit of a wandering lazy eye..going to eye dr. on friday...a little worried
Loves books and the library
Asks to watch a movie every day
Plays legos and builds princess castles
Interacts  more with her sister
Started playing soccer
Twirls and sings and stares at herself in the mirror
Is fearless
Loves splashparks and swings
