I am One!!
We had a very small party for Brooke a few days before her actual birthday, but we had a blast. Brooke enjoyed being at the center of attention and really showed off some of her new cute skills and facials. She really doesn't say much you can understand, but loves uh-oh and can say it perfectly when something falls. She loves to feed herself and bats away the spoon from me. We are working on the sippy cup...she is doing ok with it, but still much prefers her bottle. I wish I could say she is a great night sleeper, but that is not entirely true. She still sometimes gets up to chat or cuddle or drink some milk. Working on it!! She is down to one nap pretty consistetnly for about 1.5-2 hours around noon. Her fave meals are cheese, mandarin oranges, yogurt, pasta, bread and bagels, gerber graduate crunchies and yogurt melts, honeydew melon, and rice. She isn't standing independently but is the world's fastest crawler and pulls up on everything. She has taken a few small steps while holding on to something. She is the happiest and smileiest baby ever. ..seriously her laugh and smile are so contagious. She adores her big sis completely. Only bummer has been a few bad ear infections and constant runny nose. Hopefully it stays at just that...stay away flu. I can not believe a whole year has gone by so fast....my angel has completed our little family and made my life so special. We love you Brooke Rose Dial!!
Merry Christmas
We had a great Christmas again this year. Jordan is at such a great age and everything was just so magical. We celebrated with Rob's family on Dec. 23, my brother Dec. 24, and Rob's grandma in Iowa on Dec. 26. On Dec. 25, it was just our little family and it was great. Both girls woke up and we did stockings and Santa gifts. Jordan was all about the big guy this year...even leaving reindeer food for Rudolph. Brooke was happy with tissue paper and boxes. When the girls crashed at night, we both were pooped but had a special prime rib dinner together before turning in. Being home over break was wonderful and it was rough getting back into the swing of things.
