Somehow my baby girl has turned six weeks! Time is flying by! She has started to smile occasionally, though very inconsistently, but it is still cool! She talks to the ceiling fan and her playmat and is becoming much more alert. Yesterday she literally only took a few cat naps but was otherwise up pretty much all day. Still not a fan of tummy time, but when placed on my chest she is determined to lift her head and turn it. Brooke HATES her car seat and car rides are usually accompanied by nonstop screaming. Jordan loved her car seat, but each baby is different I guess! Brooke still prefers to be held and we have absolutely no bed time routine at this point. We can get her to sleep in her swing for a little while, but the only way she will really sleep is if held or in a moby wrap. Last night she was only up once, but is usually up two or three times...I am tired! Especially with having to entertain Jordan. I had my six week check up and am cleared for normal activity. I am suppossed to get my two hour glucose tolerance test, which is standard after diabetes, but seriosuly...do I have two hours to waste to get blood drawn?
Brooke went in for her one month check up...at six weeks. She goes back for shots in a few weeks. Overall, she is perfectly proportioned but just really tiny. Her height is 21.25 (35%), weight is 8 lb. 13 oz (22%), AND HEAD IS 14. 49 (25%). A PERFECT PEANUT!!
Jordan is much better and has started to listen better and interact more with Brooke. Hope we are getting some kind of routine down as I go back to work in only 4 short weeks!
